SUBSCRIBERS of Tickled
by Thunder may send all contest entries via online
form.
We also have web
contests (click link for more information) for fiction,
poetry and articles (about writing), with deadlines on
the last day of every month!)
ABOUT OUR CONTESTS:
- Manuscripts must be typed, double-spaced, single-sided
on white, standard sized paper.
- SASE (Self-Addressed and Stamped Envelope) always required.
- All entries must indicate intended contest and judge's
decisions are final.
- All contest Grand Prizes include cash, publication, courtesy
copy and one-year subscription to Tickled by Thunder fiction
magazine.
- Prizes will be increased without notice.
- All rights revert to authors on publication/judging.
- No entries will be returned, but winners will be announced
within Tickled by Thunder.
- Entries may be published within Tickled by Thunder or
appear on our web site; though all rights are always retained
by the author!
- FICTION (SHORT STORY) CONTEST
Deadline: Feb. 15/annually. Grand Prize is $150 Canadian.
Theme is open. Word limit for fiction or short stories is 2000.
Entry fee is $10 per short story. Subscribers of Tickled by
Thunder enter one short story for free, but must pay $5 for
each additional
short story entered. Fiction or short stories may be deemed
by judges to merit publication within the Year's
Best Fiction, an annual collection published as a chapbook.
